DESCRIPTION:“Do we settle for the world as it is\, or do we work for the world as it should be?” Michelle Obama \nWould you love to see places where people with and without learning disabilities have an equal sense of belonging\, including in your own community?\n​\nWAVE (We’re All Valued Equally) is a movement for change\, working to build inclusive communities where individuals with and without learning disabilities become less socially segregated. \nWe simply want more opportunities for people to mix across all aspects of life.\nWave for Change Day\nSaturday 21st September\, 1pm – 5pm\nSt James Church\, Muswell Hill\, London\n\nCome and join us for a very practical\, interactive afternoon: \nCelebrate: see how bringing people with and without learning disabilities together benefits everyone\nShare: exchange experiences between those already ‘doing things together’ and those who’d like to. We’ll have findings from new research to share too\nInspire: leave with increased understanding\, confidence and connections \nIn small groups we’ll share and inspire each other with the benefits of inclusion in playgroups/nurseries\, sports/activity groups\, churches/faith groups and the wider community (shops\, restaurants etc).\nThere will also be a celebratory community party in the evening and we’d love you to stay for that – an opportunity to see real inclusion in action.\nReal inclusion means accepting our differences and doing things together. #WithNotFor
