SUMMARY:St. Paul's Cathedral - Disabled Access Day
DESCRIPTION:St Paul’s will be hosting Disabled Access Day on 10 March 2018 with special tours and events especially designed to put disabled people right at the heart of Cathedral life. There will be free entry all day for disabled people and their friend\, helper or carer. \nDesigned especially for disabled adults and children\, visitors can enjoy a full programme of tours\, talks and workshops. Multimedia guides that have British Sign Language\, subtitles\, audio described and family tours will also be available\, as they always are. The North Transept ramped entrance will be open all day. \nDescribed TouchTours are also available by our Cathedral Guides and these should be booked in advance (more details below). BSL interpreted tours are also available upon request. \nFor the second year\, the Cathedral will feature a special 8.30am early opening for people who would appreciate a quieter time. \nFrom 10.30am to 3pm the Schools and Family Learning and Collections teams will have pop-up stalls with artefacts to discover and opportunities to dress-up for all visitors. \nAll visitors are also invited to take part in the Cathedral’s daily cycle of worship\, with a BSL signed Eucharist service at 12.30pm and Choral Evensong sung by the full Cathedral Choir at 5pm. \nWhilst the next national Disabled Access Day is not until 2019\, St Paul’s wanted to build on the momentum generated in the last few years and the enthusiasm of staff and volunteers to continue this as an annual Cathedral event. \nhttps://www.stpauls.co.uk/news-press/latest-news/disabled-access-day-2018
